To promote the efficient planning, utilisation and monitoring of provincial infrastructure resources, and to enhance infrastructure delivery performance by provincial departments and public entities.

• Develop, implement, and manage provincial infrastructure policy frameworks, guidelines, norms, and standards.
• Strengthen and support infrastructure planning by provincial departments and provincial public entities.
• Promote alignment between infrastructure planning, budgeting, and implementation processes.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on the utilisation of provincial fiscal resources allocated to infrastructure.
• Promote compliance with the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS) and assess infrastructure spending to ensure value for money.
• Manage and institutionalise integrated monitoring systems for infrastructure-related financial and performance indicators
